A prestigious three-day event in Greece will honor NRBs for their significant contributions to
global society and Bangladesh’s economy.

The historic city of Athens, Greece, is set to host a major international event recognizing the
achievements of the Bangladeshi diaspora. The “Bangla Eurovision Community Awards- 2026”
will take place next summer, scheduled for June 12, 13, and 14, 2026, at a five-star hotel in the
Greek capital.
This initiative is designed to honor talented, hardworking, and meritorious Bangladeshi
individuals living across the globe, including those in Bangladesh. The awards aim to recognize
specific contributions in vital sectors such as-
- Education
- Business and Commerce
- Culture
- Social Service
- Journalism
- Expatriate Welfare
- The Remittance Sector
By excelling in these fields, these individuals have not only boosted Bangladesh’s economy
but have also significantly brightened the country’s image on the international stage.

According to the organizers, the primary objective of this event is to duly recognize the
contributions of these accomplished individuals. The event seeks to highlight their life struggles
and success stories to inspire the new generation, fostering a sense of unity and motivation
among expatriate Bangladeshis globally.

for nomination.Dakuya Jahir, the main organizer of the event, stated, “This event is for those who are
representing Bangladesh abroad through honesty, labor, and merit even while living overseas.
We want their stories to come up and inspire the new generation.”
